The Murphy Celebrates 10th Anniversary and the Launch of Chicago Style Weddings Magazine With Red Haute Nights!

On January 12, 2017, we celebrated our 10th anniversary and the launch of Chicago Style Weddings Magazine! This combined celebration, Red Haute Nights, was a magical evening we will remember for years to come.

We were honored Chicago Style Weddings Magazine chose The Murphy as the venue for their launch party, and we enjoyed collaborating with them to create a truly incredible celebration.

Nearly 400 guests attended Red Haute Nights, including wedding planners, photographers, caterers designers, venue reps, hotel managers, catering managers, restaurant managers, and other industry professionals.

The Murphy was bathed in gorgeous tones of red, from ruby red lighting to deep red tablecloths to dozens of red roses and even red food (the chocolate covered strawberries were definitely a hit)!

Erin McDonald Design transformed our venue, bringing the Red Haute Nights theme to life with shades of red, decadent decor, and unique accents. From gorgeous lounge areas where guests could sit back, relax, and catch up with industry friends, to elegant centerpieces and floral arrangements, the decor set the tone for the evening.

Guests were able to get a first look at the new issue of Chicago Style Wedding Magazine, flipping through the pages as they enjoyed unique cocktails and delicious food from some of the best caterers in Chicago.

The Murphy first opened its doors to the public for events in 2006, and since then we have been lucky enough to be the chosen venue for some truly spectacular events. From gorgeous weddings and fundraisers to shoots for televisions shows and NASCAR events, it has been an incredible 10 years.
